Giving you peace of mind before you call, here are some FAQs from our customers to keep you informed. At La Sorrentina, we craft authentic Pizza Napoletana following a centuries-old recipe. Our dough is made with just four ingredients: water, yeast, sea salt, and Italian type 0 or 00 wheat flour (Caputo), ensuring the highest quality and flavor.

All your questions answered

We pride ourselves on using fresh, high-quality ingredients, sourcing basil and vegetables from local farms when in season. Our pizzas feature a thin crust, flash-cooked in a 900-degree oven, topped simply to let the natural flavors shine. Our cheese selection includes Fior di latte, Stracciatella, Gorgonzola, Mozzarella di bufala, and Burrata. Neapolitan pizza is known for its soft, chewy texture, and a red sauce base may become wetter in the middle. We recommend folding our pizza like a taco, or using a fork and knife if you prefer. Each bite will transport you back to Naples, Italy.

  • Why don’t I recognize many of the dish names on your menu?
La Sorrentina represents a special place to both Daisuke & Amy Matsumoto, the place where they spent their honeymoon, and the place where Daisuke studied Southern Italian cuisine: Sorrento, Italy. Over 90% of the pizzas and pastas come straight out of the cobbled streets in Naples, Italy or the Campania region.
  • What are the sizes?
Each pizza is roughly 12-14 inches round, sometimes oval We do have a 6-8 inch pizza for kids. The three choices are cheese, sausage or pepperoni. For adults these pizzas tend to be a one person show, however, two people could feel satisfied with one as long as there was a salad or an appetizer.
  • Is this pizza recommended for take-out?
We always recommend eating the pizza right after receiving your order. The freshness of our pizzas will last longer if you request it to be uncut. If the pizza has not been eaten by the next day, 3 minutes at 350 degrees will work just fine. From 12-5, we can more easily prepare your pizza for take-out. However, please note that from 5:30pm-7pm, we do not offer take-out orders to ensure we can accommodate our dine-in customers, as we only have one oven. Feel free to call earlier in the day to place your order for evening times. Call (360) 314-4447. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
  • Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are more than welcome in our outside patio area. As is standard Clark County practices, dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant, unless they are certified service dogs.
  • How do I talk to someone to ask questions?
Feel free to call (360) 313-4447. Please note that we always do our best to answer the phone and/or check messages, however, at super busy times, we can’t always get to the phone, and at times it may take us until the next day to respond. You can also shoot us an email at: lasorrentinavw@gmail.com
  • Can we make substitutions?
We are not a restaurant that does substitutions nor allows you to build your own pizzas. Our pizzaiolos have studied the art of pizza napoletana for years and they take great pride in offering more traditional pizza napoletana options. We can however take off any ingredient you don’t like.
  • Do you delivery?
We don’t work with any delivery systems as we want to ensure that our food is handed off with care and also, we love to serve you.
  • Where can I see pictures?
Our social profiles! Instagram : @Lasorrentinavw Facebook : La Sorrentina
  • How do you handle various food allergies?
We always need you to communicate with your server regarding food allergies. We make numerous desserts and some pastas with eggs, pistachios, walnuts, milk and flour, but are more than willing to take care of preparation to remove these items off any order as we make most everything at the moment.
  • Friday & Saturday nights seem pretty busy with longer waits, what are your golden times where a walk in time is easier?
We open at 12, and usually those first 4 hours are way slower and easier to come in and out easily without a reservation. Wednesday and Thursdays also tend to have more availability in the evening with a smaller number of reservations.
  • What type of flour do you use?
Caputo 00 is a highly respected Italian flour. It is made with high-quality soft wheat, which gives it a fine texture and excellent gluten development. It is known for its consistent performance, allowing chefs/pizzaiolos to produce consistent result times.
  • Why do the pizzas and pastas sometimes come out at different times?
Pizzas can cook off from scratch in under 5 minutes if there aren’t many orders on the dock, however, since we never pre-cook any of the pastas, each type of pasta take longer or shorter boiling points. We will always try our best to get your dishes out closer to the same time if you want that, otherwise, please note your food is always prepared fresh and in the moment so that you can taste the quality.
  • Are there any gluten-free options available?
We offer gluten free pizza, however, although it is prepared separately and cooked off on its own, we do use the same pizza prep table and pizza oven. For that reason, we would like to caution anyone with serious gluten intolerances to know there are still risks involved. Also, if someone orders a gluten free pizza, please note it will be delivered before the regular ones.
  • How can I purchase a gift card?
Gift cards are available for purchase directly from our restaurant. Stop by or give us a call to buy a gift card in any denomination. They make a perfect gift for any food lover!
